On 4 April, at their meeting on the sidelines of the 15th OIC Summit in Gambia, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Hakan Fidan, who came to office a year ago, stated the importance of holding the OIC Summit for the Islamic world countries. The parties also discussed current Tatarstan-Turkey projects, with the mutual trade turnover having increased by 2.5 times and reached 2.9bn US Dollars in 2023.
On 4 April, speaking at his meeting with the President of Sierra-Leone Julius Maada Bio on the sidelines of the 15th OIC Summit in Gambia, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Relations of the Russian Federation with African countries have always been warm and developed constructively. We highly appreciate the opportunity of establishing cooperation between our republic and Sierra-Leone within the framework of Russia-Gambia relations. Unfortunately the level of trade-economic cooperation of Tatarstan with your country is currently low. At the same time our helicopters and trucks are well known in African markets.”
On 4 April, speaking at his meeting with the President of Gambia Adama Barrow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a visit to the City of Banjul, said:” Relations of the Russian Federation with African countries have always developed constructively. There are good opportunities for further development of this cooperation. In its turn Tatarstan is interested in interaction with your country within the framework of Russia-Gambia relations.”
On 5 April the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who is the Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia-the Islamic World” and is the head of the Russian delegation at the Summit, took part in a ceremony of opening the XV Summit of heads of states and governments of countries-members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) which is organized in the City of Banjul in Gambia.
On 4 May the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minikhanov, as the head of the Russian delegation, came on a working trip to the Republic of the Gambia to take part in the 15th Summit of Heads of the states-members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
On 4 May at their meeting in Abu-Dhabi, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came on a visit to the United Arab Emirates, and the President of the UAE Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed the current situation in economic cooperation and its prospects.
On 2 May, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of Tatarstan Investments Development Agency Taliya Minullina said: “We already have nearly 11 thousand participants registered from 80 countries. We understand that this is not the limit. The registration ends on 6 May and we expect as usual that there will the increased number of participants.”
On 29 April Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin attended a rugby game between Strela Ak-Bars (Kazan) and Lokomotiv-Penza teams held at the Mordovia Arena stadium in Saransk with participation of 7 102 spectators.
On 28 April in Ashgabat, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who came to Turkmenistan to take part in the national holiday the Day of the Akhal-Teke racer, had a meeting with the National leader of Turkmen people, the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
On 28 April, speaking at his meeting with Turkmenistan President Serdar Berdimuhamedow in Ashgabat, where he came to take part in the national holiday the Day of the Akhal-Teke racer, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “The leading Tatarstan companies have been successfully working in Turkmenistan for many years. Last year our trade turnover grew by 13 per cent and made 52m US dollars.”
