On 21 May Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev , the Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin, the regional Deputy Prime Minister – the Chairman of the National Council of the World Congress of Tatars Vasil Shaykhraziyev and representatives of various confessions took part in a traditional ceremonial event the Izge Bolgar zhiyeny  held in the Ancient town of Bolgar, and which this year is dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. 

On 21 May at the Bolgar Islamic Academy, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Russian Deputy Minister of Culture-the Secretary of the Federal Committee on celebrations of the 100th anniversary Olga Yarilova took part in a ceremony of cancelling a memorial post stamp dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria.

On May 20, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Under Secretary of the Foreign Trade and Industry at the UAE Ministry of Economy Abdulla Al Saleh, who arrived to take part in ceremonial events dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of adopting Islam by the Volga Bulgaria.

On May 20, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation Gulnara-Klara Samat, who handed in the state award of her country - the Order «Dostuk» (Order of «Friendship) to Tatarstan President.

On May 20, at their meeting at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Cetre on the sidelines of the XIII International Economic Summit Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit 2022, Tatarstan President  Rustam Minnikhanov and Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers Osman Husain Osman Eldirdir discussed issues of strengthening relations with Tatarstan under the Russian-Sudanese cooperation.

On 19 May at his meeting in the Kazan Kremlin with the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan (Turkmen: Halk Maslahaty) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, who came to Kazan on the invitation of Minnikhanov to take part in International Economic Summit Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit 2022  and celebrations of the 1100th anniversary of adopting Islam by the Volga Bulgaria, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his gratitude to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow for taking the invitation and finding a possibility to visit Tatarstan.

On 19 May on the margins of the XIII International Economic Summit Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit 2022 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Ambassadors of the OIC member-countries.

On 19 May on the margins of the XIII International Economic Summit Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit 2022Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a plenary session of the Caspian Club, which was organized under the chairmanship of Ramazan Abdulatipov and Aleksandr Zhilkin and is the platform for discussing projects of the North-South international transport corridor.

On 19 May Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in the XIII International Economic Summit Russia – Islamic World: KazanSummit 2022 held in Kazan dedicated to the common consumption economy and the universal benefit of Halal.

On 19 May at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan State Counselor Minitmer Shaimiev and the Chairman of the regional State Council Farid Mukhametshin had a meeting with the Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan (Turkmen: Halk Maslahaty) Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, where they discussed possibilities of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Tatarstan in culture, education and historical heritage.
