A memorial post stamp dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam has been cancelled in Bolgar

On 21 May at the Bolgar Islamic Academy, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, the State Counselor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Russian Deputy Minister of Culture-the Secretary of the Federal Committee on celebrations of the 100th anniversary Olga Yarilova took part in a ceremony of cancelling a memorial post stamp dedicated to the 1100th anniversary of the adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria. 

The souvenir sheet has a picture of the White Mosque and a writing” 1100 years to adoption of Islam by the Volga Bulgaria”. On the “first day” envelope there is a lithograph “The Ancient Bolgar. The Small Minaret. 1868” by the artist K.A Tilli.
