On January 20, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov met delegation from Turkmenistan headed by Chairman of the Executive committee of the 5th Asian games Dayanch Gulgeldiev that arrived in Kazan to study the experience in holding big international sports events. The V Asian Indoors and Martial Arts Games will be in Ashgabat in 2017.

On January 19, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Davos (Switzerland) to take part in World Economic Forum (January 20-23). The theme of the Meeting is “Mastering the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.  The forum will also discuss regional security, climate change, and “new normal state” of global economic growth.

On January 19, at a session of Federal Drug Control Service in the Republic of Tatarstan, Prime Minister of the republic Ildar Khalikov said that the work on early detection of drug addicts by testing school children and students should be systemic. He asked to enhance interaction and systematize work in this sphere. The Prime Minister also suggested closing night clubs where facts of drug consumption are revealed.

On January 19, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Transport and Roads of the republic Lenar Safin said that a project on construction of a new bridge over the Kama river near Sokolka settlement can be implemented in 2017-2018.

On January 18, during his trip to the city of Naberezhnye Chelny, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov visited “Chelny-khleb” bakery to see the new production complex.

On January 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Naberezhnye Chelny to take part in an opening ceremony of a new sports and fitness complex with a swimming pool at Naberezhnye Chelny State Teachers’ Training University.

On January 18, at a session of Tatarstan Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Federal Service for Supervision in the Sphere of Natural Resource Use in the Republic of Tatarstan that was held in Kazan, President of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov informed that Tatarstan is combating sales of marine low-viscous fuel. In 2015, sales of such fuel were revealed at 84 petrol stations in the republic.

On January 16, at a regional meeting held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov in Kazan, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities of the republic Irek Faizullin informed that 95 schools and 52 kindergartens will be repaired in Tatarstan in 2016.
