On December 8, during his working trip to Qatar Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Education City, which is an initiative of the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development.

On December 8, during his working visit to Doha (Qatar) Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Qatar's Minister of State for Interior Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.

On December 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited museum of Islamic art in Doha, Qatar.The museum was built upon the project of a famous architect Ieoh Ming Pei in 2008 and occupies the area of 45,000 square meters. The collection of Islamic art includes manuscripts, textiles, carpets, ceramics, arms and armour, and household objects. A lot of artifacts were brought from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Turkey, India and Central Asia.

On December 8, at Entertainment Complex Piramida in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in a solemn awarding ceremony of the winners of regional contests “ECOleader-2015” and “Man and nature” that are held by the Ministry of ecology of the republic every year.

On December 7, at his meeting with Qatar Minister of economy and commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim Mohamed Al Thani during his official visit to Doha, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that their last meeting was held at the Annual investment forum in Dubai this year, when they discussed perspective areas of cooperation between Tatarstan and Qatar in the context of Russia-Qatar relations.

On December 7, upon his arrival in Doha (Qatar) Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was met by Qatar’s Minister of Youth and Sport Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser Al Ali at the airport.
