19.01.2016

On January 19, speaking at a briefing at Tatarstan Government House, Minister of Transport and Roads of the republic Lenar Safin said that a project on construction of a new bridge over the Kama river near Sokolka settlement can be implemented in 2017-2018.

The briefing was devoted to the creation of the InnoKam innovative and production center.

It should be reminded that earlier, the strategy to create the InnoKam innovative and production center was discussed at the Gaidar Forum (January 13-15, 2016, Moscow) with participation Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. Moreover, a rating of “Innovative Business in the Russian Regions” was presented at the forum.

"We traditionally promote major investment projects of Tatarstan at the Gaidar Forum," Minister of Economy of the republic Artem Zdunov said. The creation of the InnoKam center was a topic of a separate panel discussion, he added.

For the development of the Kama cluster major reconstruction of the infrastructure is required. Lenar Safin reminded that the work on reconstruction of the highway M7 'Volga', namely, the road section from Kazan to Naberezhnye Chelny is underway. Three sections with a total length of 73.23 km will be reconstructed. "We would like to complete the reconstruction within contractual terms, i.e. by 2019. We are ready to stay ahead, but everything will depend on the funding,” he said.
