On January 11, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his condolences to relatives of those who were killed in a fire in Leninogorsk district of the republic, and strictly assessed the short-sighted actions of local authorities and social services.

From January 13, special trainings will be organized to prepare for regional rounds of All-Russia Olympiads.

On January 4, Kazan said farewell to the great Tatarstan benefactor Asgat Galimzyanov, who died on January 3 at the age of 80. A civil funeral service was held in the hall of the Cultural Center of the Ministry of the Interior of the republic.
