Rustam Minnikhanov arrives on a working visit in Japan

On October 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Japan to visit Kyoto, Kobe, Kanazawa cities and to take part in the 15th Annual Meeting of the International Science and Technology in Society Forum (STS-Forum).

STS-Forum established as a venue for open discussions on an informal basis, helping to resolve the world problems by using the science and technology.

Minnikhanov will take part in the Sustainable Development plenary session.

It is expected that during the working visit to Japan, Tatarstan President will hold a number of business meetings and negotiations, including with Governor of Ishikawa Prefecture Masanori Tanimoto and Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Japan Eiichi Hasegawa.

Minnikhanov also plans to visit the RIKEN biomedical cluster, the Hokusho plant that manufactures conveyor and sorting equipment, to take part in the Tatarstan-Japanese Business Forum, etc.

The Tatarstan delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Information and Communications of Tatarstan Roman Shaykhutdinov, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Leyla Fazleeva, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Head of the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Talia Minullina and others.

The working visit will last on October 7-8, 2018.
