Rustam Minnikhanov: STS-Forum is in great demand and interesting

On October 7, during his working visit to Japan, on the sidelines of the STS-Forum, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Chairman, Founder of Science and Technology in Society Forum (STS-Forum) Koji Omi.

In 2004, Omi founded the STS-Forum, aimed at establishing a worldwide network among scientists, politicians, businessmen and journalists. He previously held posts in the government of Japan three times, including the post of the Minister of Finance.

Welcoming Koji Omi, Minnikhanov thanked him for the opportunity to meet and congratulated him on the successful holding of the 15th forum.

He emphasized that the forum is very popular and interesting and the issues discussed, in particular, stem cells, 5G communication system, hydrogen, robotics and e-vehicles are very important and pressing.

In his turn, Omi invited the representatives of Tatarstan government agencies and private companies to cooperate more actively during the STS-Forum.

At the end of the meeting, Minnikhanov invited Omi and partners to continue their cooperation with the republic and invited the founder of the STS-Forum to deliver a lecture to the students of the University of Innopolis.
