Rustam Minnikhanov, as part of Russian delegation, takes part in a meeting with Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe

On October 7, during his working visit to Japan on October 7-8, 2018, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting, held on the eve of the opening of Science and Technology in Society Forum (STS-forum), between Russian Minister of Economic Development Maksim Oreshkin and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzo Abe.

Advisor to the Prime Minister of Japan Eiichi Hasegava, Chairman of the Board of Rusnano Company Anatoly Chubais, member of the Economic Council under the President of the Russian Federation, Co-Chairman of the All-Russian public organization "Business Russia" Aleksey Repik also took part in the meeting.  

The parties discussed bilateral relations in the economic sphere and the international issues.

Oreshkin, as noted in the foreign authority’s report, also expressed his hope for further development of interaction between Japan and Russia in various fields, including humanitarian exchanges.
