In his New Year Address the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Dear friends we are welcoming our favourite holiday – the New Year with special joy and hope.
2024 has been declared the year of the Family in Russia which gives it a special symbolism as the New Year is a family holiday first of all. The family is the foundation of any society and it is why Tatarstan cares very much about family values and traditions which developed historically at our land.
On 30 December, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin held a meeting of the Commission on Prevention and Mitigation of Emergencies and Provision of Fire Safety, where he said: “Today on an errand from the Rais of the republic we are holding an unscheduled meeting of the Commission dedicated to readiness of labour forces and means for providing safety during New Year holidays. I ask all responsible officials to provide continuous monitoring of the situation.
On 30 December, reporting about results of implementation of regional and federal capital overhaul programmes at a regional meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via video conference, the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that in the Healthcare programme only two facilities out of 149 - one in Yelabuga and one in Cheremshan- are still under overhaul.
Having visited a family with many children in Kazan, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister fulfilled wishes of their three children which they made within the framework of the All-Russia voluntary action “Christmas Tree of wishes”.
On 27 December the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a session of the Russian State Council held in the Large Kremlin Palace in Moscow and dedicated to the issue of raising the role and prestige of a teacher and a mentor.
On 27 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Head of Laishevo region of the republic Ildus Zaripov and the Director General of the Gazprom Transgas Kazan Rustem Usmanov took part in a ceremony of putting into operation of the automated gas let-down station by the Yubileynaya Poultry plant in Laishevo region of the republic, which was reconstructed by an investment project and equipped by domestic produced components.
A decree of the Russian Government passed on 23 December of the current year has fixed the planned amount of money to reimburse expenditures from the Tatarstan budget on construction of infrastructure facilities in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) of Innopolis, namely 919.1m rubles till 2026 on the Laishevo industrial park and 704.6m till 2027 on Innopark high-tech park, built at the SEZ in the end of 2022.
On December 26, at their meeting in Moscow, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian Minister for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters Aleksander Kurenkov discussed the work of the regional office of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the results of its activities in 2023.
On 26 December, speaking at a meeting of the Council in inter-ethnic and inter-confessional relations by the Rais of the republic held in the National library of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that for many centuries Tatarstan has been the place of peaceful coexistence and creative cooperation of Tatars, Russians, Chuvash, Udmurt, Mari and representatives of many other ethnicities.
