On 4 June during his working trip to Ulyanovsk the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the Healthcare Minister of the republic Marsel Minullin and the Head of the Defenders of the Fatherland State Fund branch in Tatarstan Guzel Udachina visited the Ulyanovsk Rehabilitation Center for participants of the special military operation (SMO).
During the tour round the center its Director Irina Valiyeva told the new third building of the center opened in February 2024 which made it possible for people not just to have services of such specialists as an orthopedic or rehabilitation doctor but also have a psychological help.
The Center has 60 in-patient and 6 day-time patient and 34 out-patient places and also provides services in the third stage of medical rehabilitation with various kinds of treatment for participants of the special military operation and pensioners living in Ulyanovsk region.
Sharing his impressions, Rustam Minnikhanov said: “Today we have visited the Rehabilitation Center for participants of the special military operation. I think this is a very timely and important decision as one of the important tasks of the power bodies is to help our soldiers to recover and provide all necessary conditions for comprehensive rehabilitation. We have made a note of the experience of our colleagues from Ulyanovsk.”
In his turn the Governor of Ulyanovsk region Aleksey Russkikh said: “The Ulyanovsk center is the first one in the country established in the system of social protection. Here we provide comprehensive help both to participants of the SMO and their families. It opened in February this year and now is in full operation. As many as 400 residents of the region have already had necessary treatment here.”
