Rustam Minnikhanov attends the Festival of Childhood “Yalkyn Fest” in the Kazan Kremlin

On 1 June the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov attended the Festival of Childhood “Yalkyn Fest” in the Kazan Kremlin, which was dedicated to the Children’s Day and the 100th birthday of the Yalkyn magazine. 

The festival programme included numerous topical interactive sites and Rustam Minnikhanov looked round an exposition dedicated to the 100th birthday of children’s Yalkyn magazine, showing history of children’s periodicals, covers of the magazine in different years and interesting publications and illustrations. 

After looking round the book fair and children’s ethnic market, the Rais of Tatarstan went to the Executive building atrium, where he met children’s creative teams and welcomed them, stating that the Yalkyn magazine makes a huge contribution into preservation of Tatarstan national culture, traditions and the native language. “I want to thank all organizers and participants of the today’s fest,” he emphasized and handed in the Yalkyn magazine team the Letter of Gratitude from the Rais of Tatarstan.
