On 17 March in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin held a meeting of the Regional commission of Prevention and Liquidation of Emergencies and ensuring fire safety, where its participant discussed issues of safe passing through the flooding period and fire hazard season.

On 17 March in the ceremonial hall of the multidisciplinary Kazan Lyceum 187 the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by the regional Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva, the Minister of Science and Education of the republic Ilsur Khadiullin and other officials had a meeting with winners, prize holders and mentors of Professional and Abilimpiks championships.

On 17 March in the new building of the Kamal Theatre the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov launched the new season of the federal flag ship project of the Movement of the First “the School Diplomacy Clubs” which is a network of school clubs all over the world united by common values and implementing joint socially important projects and actions. The project is aimed at shaping systematic multilateral contacts among schoolchildren from friendly countries and common values at school environment.

On 17 March at the Diocese of Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Cyril, the Bishop of Chistopol and Nizhnekamsk Pakhomy, the Bishop of Almetyevsk and Bugulma Mefody and the Bishop of Naberezhnyye Chelny and Yelabuga Gavriil held with participation of the Head of the Department for Internal Policies of the Rais of the republic Ruslan Mukhalyamov.

On 17 March in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minikhanov handed in the Order Duslyk (Friendship) to the Former President of Tatarstan Chess Federation Gennadiy Zakharov for his special contribution into the development and promotion of chess in the republic and long fruitful work and active public engagement. 

On 15 March, speaking at a meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund of “The Institute of the development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Zinnatullina reported about the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.

On 15 March, speaking at a Saturday regional meeting in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov gave a number of errands, the first of them being ensuring city dwellers with quality and affordable agricultural products. Agricultural fairs have resumed their work and will be held till 27 April at 19 sites. “The Ministry of Agriculture and Food together with heads of regions and agribusiness enterprises should organize the fairs at the proper level and carefully monitor products prices and quality, ensuring transport accessibility,” he said.

On 14 March at their meeting in the Kazan City Hall, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of the International Big Cat Alliance (BICA) discussed issues of exchanging knowledge and experience in preservation of the snow leopard population which is in danger of extinction.

On 14 March at their meeting in the Kazan City Hall, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Honorary Ambassador of Wild Life of Pakistan, Emissary of the Global Snow Leopard Ecosystems Protection Program (GSLEPP) Saradar Muhammad Jamal Khan Leghari discussed the importance of snow leopard population preservation.

On 14 March during an expanded meeting with a delegation of the Republic of Altay which, headed by the Chairman of the Government of the republic Andrey Turchak, came to take part in the International Conference on Preservation of the Snow Leopard held in Kazan, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov stated that the mutual trade turnover between the republics is low and it is necessary to do everything to increase its amount. He said that Tatarstan supplies medical goods, computers, cars, tyres, petrochemical produce to Altay and emphasized that there are good opportunities for expanding cooperation. He also said that Tatarstan is interested in increasing deliveries of chemical and petrochemical products, trucks and agricultural machinery, common goods and medical equipment, pharmaceuticals and other goods.
