Russian Vice-Prime Minister Vitaliy Savelyev and Rustam Minnikhanov get acquainted with the project of a new terminal on the Kazan Airport

On 23 July during his working trip to Kazan, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government Vitaliy Savelyev  accompanied by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the project of a new passenger terminal on the Kazan International Airport.

At the presentation it was said that the expected capacity of the new terminal will be more than 5m passengers a year which will enable increase of the flow rate of the airport and give an additional impetus to the development of economic and tourist potential of the republic.

The airport is designed to receive 2.5 million passengers per year. However, in 2024, Kazan International Airport served 5 million 369 thousand passengers.

Before the BRICS SUMMIT in Kazan last year the airport passenger platform was doubled in size.
