Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov goes on a working trip to Novorossiysk Navy base

On 25 July the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov as the head of a delegation from the republic, which comprises the Plenipotentiary Representative of Tatarstan to Russia Ravil Akhmetshin, the Mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev. The Head of Tetyushi region of the republic Ramil Safiullin, the Member of the Russian State Duma from Tatarstan Ruslan Gadjiev and the philanthropist Rafael Faisov, came on a working trip to the   Novorossiysk Navy base where the delegation met the Deputy Commander of the Russian Black Sea Fleet Rear Admiral Ildar Akhmerov and Commander of the Base Rear Admiral Viktor Kochemazov as well as the military personnel of the base including natives of Tatarstan.

The republic has had active interaction with the Black Sea Fleet since 1991 and in his welcoming speech Asgat Safarov said: “This is a friendship that has stood the test of time.”

During the autumn conscription of 2024 and the spring conscription of 2025, 190 servicemen were sent from Tatarstan to serve in the Black Sea Fleet.

In his turn Ravil Akhmetshin handed in to distinguished servicemen in the year of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory a commemorative medal "100 years of Army General M.A. Gareev", certificates of honor and charity letters, wristwatches and gifts, and Ildar Akhmerov thanked the leadership of Tatarstan for its constant attention to the fleet, for its support and assistance.

Today, Tatarstan patronizes 13 military units of the Black Sea Fleet and the Southern Military District stationed in the Crimea.

The delegation of the republic brought essential items, household and special equipment for the military personnel and artists gave a concert to the base staff and its commandment.
