Rustam Minnikhanov: State Transport Leasing Company is an important strategic partner of Tatarstan

On 29 July the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and the Director General of the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) Yevgeniy Ditrikh took part in a ceremony of handing in 10 new MI-8MVT-1 helicopters  to five Russian companies according to the contract between the Russian Helicopters holding of the Rostekh state Corporation and the STLC.

The vehicles manufactured by Kazan Helicopter Plant will improve accessibility in Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Sakhalin regions and Chukotka Autonomous region and the Republic of Sakha where they will fly in harsh climatic conditions.

Speaking at the ceremony Rustam Minnikhanov said that the MI-8MVT-1 helicopter is one of the most mass produced and reliable machines in the history of aviation and thanked the Russian President for supporting the domestic aircraft building industry. “Under current conditions the development of aircraft industry has a strategic importance for our country,” he said and informed that within the framework of current federal programmes the Kazan Helicopter plant and the STLC already delivered 20 helicopters to various regions of Russian in the last two years. In addition to ten machines handed in today, 23 more will be ready to be put into operation by the end of the year, the Rais of the republic said and thanked the team of the Kazan Plant for its well-coordinated work. 

In his turn Yevgeniy Ditrich stated that the STLC is the main ordering customer of helicopters in the country. ”We are grateful to the Kazan Helicopter Plant for manufacturing such modern, high-speed and highly demanded vehicles on time,” he said.

Having mentioned main tasks for which the machines are used, the Director General concluded: ”The more new machines come to regions, the quicker the improvement of transportation between settlements and regional centers, the higher the passenger flow. This also solves tasks of transport accessibility for population living in remote areas where aviation is the reliable carrier in any time of a year.”

Also the participants of the ceremony used videoconference for handing in two high-speed passenger ships Meteor-2020 manufactured by the Zelenodolsk Ship Building Plant after Gorky to the Leasing Company, and Yevgeniy Ditrich handed in the Director General of the Tatarstan Fleet Company Roman Lizalin the ships classification certificates.
