On October 17, at the Korston Entertainment Complex in Kazan, speaking at the opening of Finnish Business in Kazan Forum, the largest annual event of the Russian-Finnish business, with participation of Finnish Ambassador to the Russian Federation Mikko Hautala, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is interested in attracting Finnish business and capital.

On October 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov sent a telegram of condolences to Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksenov over the tragic events at the Kerch Polytechnic College.

On October 17, at the Kazan EXPO International Exhibition Centre, speaking at a plenary session of the semi-annual scientific-practical conference “Safe and High-Quality Roads” of the Federal Road Transport Agency held under the Road 2018 International Specialized Exhibition, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the federal project contributed to the development and repair of the road network in Tatarstan.

On October 17, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Aide to Russian President Igor Levitin and Head of the Federal Road Transport Agency (Rosavtodor) Andrey Kostyuk took part in an opening ceremony of three sections of the M7 Volga highway from Kazan to Naberezhnye Chelny after reconstruction.
