On December 4, during his working visit to Helsinki, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with representatives of the Finnish business community in Helsinki.
Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Finland Pavel Kuznetsov, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Vasil Shaikhraziev, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and Head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minullina took part in the meeting.
Heads of the companies in the areas of automobile and tire production, industrial filters, furniture manufacturing, construction of modular enterprises for the food industry, the production of detergents and others took part the meeting from the Finnish side.
Minnikhanov said that the day before in Helsinki he had a meeting of the Tatarstan-Finnish working group on trade and economic cooperation, aimed at approaching of the business circles of two countries.
Tatarstan is interested in Finnish companies that choose the republic as a launching pad for work in Russia. “Location of production facilities in the republic is our priority. There are all opportunities for the localization of Finnish business in Tatarstan: special economic zones, territories of priority development, technology parks and industrial areas. We have great experience of working with foreign investors,” Tatarstan President emphasized.
Today, Finnish business is successfully operating in Tatarstan, helping to implement important socio-economic projects.
Kuznetsov noted that more and more regions of Russia have been involved in the multifaceted Russian-Finnish cooperation in the last few years and Tatarstan occupies the most significant and prominent place here.
Representatives of the Finnish business made presentations of their companies and introduced the most interesting areas for cooperation.
