Rustam Minnikhanov meets CEO of SLUSH International conference of start-ups Andreas Saari

SLUSH is considered the largest event for developers of new technologies in Europe. As many as 20,000 people are expected to take part in the conference, including representatives of 2500 startups and over 1000 venture capital investors.

On the sidelines of the conference, Minnikhanov met SLUSH CEO Andreas Saari. Saari told Tatarstan President about the history of this project. The conference was first organized in Helsinki in 2008 and aimed at local companies and investors. Later, the event reached the international level and gathered 20,000 people from 130 countries by 2017.

SLUSH has become a platform for finding business partners and investors, sharing ideas and experience in the field of technological innovation. Nowadays, SLUSH is organized not only in Helsinki, but also in Tokyo, Singapore and Shanghai.

Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan attaches great importace to the development of technological entrepreneurship, the development of various programmes to support start-up projects. Tatarstan Investment and Venture Fund is increasing the innovative potential of Tatarstan and is assisting high-tech small and medium businesses.

Tatarstan Minister of Informatization and Communications Roman Shaykhutdinov said that today the possibility of holding a joint event with SLUSH in Tatarstan is being considered.
