On February 1, at the Pyramida Entertainment Complex in Kazan, Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Russia Pavel Zenkovich, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev took part a solemn event dedicated to results of the implementation of the project to revive the island-town of Sviyazhsk and the ancient city of Bolgar.

On February 1, at the Galiaskar Kamal Tatar Academic Theatre, speaking at a summing up meeting of the Ministry of Culture of the republic on the results of its work in 2018 and tasks for 2019, with participation of Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinsky, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev, Secretary-General of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, Ambassador at large of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Grigory Ordzhonikidze, Regional Minister of Culture Irada Ayupova said that the main slogan of the regional Ministry of Culture is “Without limits”.

On February 1, Russian Minister of Culture Vladimir Medinksy, who arrived on a working visit in Tatarstan, was met by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin at the Kazan International Airport.

On February 1, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Chairman of GE Gas Power John Rice discussed results of cooperation and progress achieved in a number of areas, including the modernization of the energy infrastructure of Tatarstan, as well as the development of the health system using advanced equipment and digital solutions of GE.

On January 31, at their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of the Executive Committee of the All-Russia People’s Front Mikhail Razvozhayev discussed prospects for cooperation in the implementation of priority projects of the All-Russian Popular Front aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens.

On January 30, at the Gorbunov Kazan Aviation Plant, branch of Tupolev PJSC, Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, who is on a working visit in Kazan, held a working meeting on the maintenance of weapons, military and special equipment of the Aerospace Forces. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the meeting.

On January 30, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with the guest - Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Alexander Bugayev took part in a summing up meeting of the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the republic “Challenges. Priorities. Mechanisms”, which summed up results of the Ministry’s work in 2018 and set tasks for 2019.

On January 29, speaking at the Government House of the republic at a briefing, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic - Tatarstan Minister of Industry and Trade Albert Karimov said that today less than half of the raw materials extracted are processed in the republic and the share of oil refining in the industrial structure of Tatarstan will increase in the near future.
