Rustam Minnikhanov discusses holding of the Main Characters children's festival in Kazan with representatives of the First Channel, the First Channel Worldwide Network and the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK)

On April 1, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Director General of the First Channel Worldwide Network Aleksey Efimov, Deputy Director General – Head of the regional department of the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK) Rifat Sabitov and Advisor to the Director General of the First Channel Alexander Ilyin discussed holding of the Main Characters children's festival in Kazan.

During the festival, it is planned to hold a number of events, in particular a costume carnival, a concert, various master classes for children, quizzes and sports games.

Minnikhanov noted that this summer Kazan will host Worldskills Championship-2019, which will bring together young professionals from more than 60 countries of the world. Tatarstan President offered to highlight this event during the festival.

The annual national children's award “Main characters” is scheduled to be held in the capital of Tatarstan. The award, established by the First Channel, the First Channel Worldwide Network and Karusel (a joint project of the First Channel ans VGTRK), is aimed at identifying the preferences of the children's audience of Russian television, the best projects for children and promoting high-quality content of Russian and foreign production, introduced on modern television, film and animation industry, Internet resources and mobile applications.
