On April 2, during his working visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Philips Healthcare Innovation Centre located in the city of Best and being a presentation venue for high-tech innovations.
Minnikhanov got acquainted with the center’s activity, focused on researching of a healthy lifestyle, increasing life expectancy, collecting information about health of people and processing the information received.
Today, the centre employs over 3,000 people, the centre's showroom annually receives over 10,000 guests.
The company pays special attention to the research on oncological diseases.
During the visit, Tatarstan President thanked the representatives of the company for the opportunity to visit the Centre and noted that a number of national projects, including such areas of health care as the increase life expectancy and the improvement of the quality of life has been adopted in Russia.
According to Minnikhanov, the Philips has more than 20 years history of relations with Tatarstan and this interaction will be continued.
During the meeting, the parties discussed further steps in the implementation of health projects, including maintenance of Philips equipment.
Minnikhanov proposed to establish a working group for a detailed discussion of emerging issues. The members of the working group are expected to discuss joint projects in a month.
