Rustam Minnikhanov expresses his condolences in connection with tragedy in Leninogorsk district in Tatarstan

On January 11, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his condolences to relatives of those who were killed in a fire in Leninogorsk district of the republic, and strictly assessed the short-sighted actions of local authorities and social services.

At today's coordination meeting with the leadership of law enforcement agencies Minnikhanov has given an errand to Tatarstan Government and the Prosecutor's Office of the republic to thoroughly investigate the causes of the tragedy and take appropriate response measures, and make proposals to improve the work with difficult families, including creating living conditions of children.

Minnikhanov emphasized that local authorities must be aware of the situation and take timely measures to ensure that vulnerable social groups, especially children, are not affected under any circumstances.
