On April 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived on a working visit in Ankara (the Republic of Turkey), was met by Deputy Governor of Ankara Murat Soylu, Minister Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in Turkey Aleksandr Khapilov and Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in Turky Aydar Gashigullin at the Esenboga International Airport.

On April 26, speaking at a solemn event dedicated to the Day of the Native Language and 132nd  birth anniversary of Gadbulla Tukay, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We need our native language and we must make every effort to preserve it and pass it on to the next generations.”

On April 24, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Moscow to take part in a Presidium meeting of Russian Presidential Council on economic modernization and innovative development chaired by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

On April 24, speaking at a briefing at the regional Cabinet of Ministers, Head of Tatarstan Department of Federal Supervision Agency for Customer Protection and Human Welfare Marina Patyashina said that residents of several countries can bring wild poliovirus to Russia and in particular to Tatarstan.

On April 24, speaking at a regular board meeting of Tatneftekhiminvest-holding held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Director General of the holding Rafinat Yarullin reported that in the first quarter of 2018 the output of petrochemical products remained at the previous year’s level in Tatarstan. The index of production of petroleum and rubber products made 105.8 and 115.4 per cent accordingly. The production of oil, chemical and plastic products declined, he said. 

On April 24, in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired a regular board meeting of the Tatneft Oil Company, which summed up the results of the company’s budget execution for the first quarter of the current year and approved the budget for May 2018.
