Rustam Minnikhanov opens FIFA Fan Fest 2018 in Kazan

On June 14, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the solemn opening of FIFA Fan Fest 2018 in Kazan.

The fan zone will be working during the FIFA World Cup 2018. Live broadcast of the Mundial’s matches is organized here. There are various zones of activities for the fans and concert programmes organized. The capacity of the site is 25,000 people.

Minnikhanov met volunteers involved in the Fest. A total of 220 volunteers are involved in organizing the event.

Minnikhanov also visited the venue, where a four-ton chak-chak in the shape of a soccer ball was cooked for the fans. Achievement of Kazan cooks was registered in the Book of Records of Russia. Tatarstan President together with the players of the Rubin football club Sergey Ryzhikov and Gekdeniz Karadeniz cut the chak-chak and handed the first pieces to the youngest fans.

Minnikhanov welcomed the fans and guests of Kazan and wished them spectacular football.

The first live broadcast of the match between the Russian and the Saudi Arabian teams started at 6 p.m.
