JSC Tatneft and the German Preiss Daimler Group have officially put into operation the P-D Tatneft Alabuga Fibre Glass joint venture. The plant, unique for Russia, will manufacture import-substituting products, fibre glass and its derivatives.

Russia’s economy minister Elvira Nabiullina praised Tatarstan’s achievements in promoting and supporting small business. She said it at the opening of the Master industrial park’s phase 3 in Naberezhnye Chelny. The Master IP was set up in 2004 by the Tatarstan government and Kamaz automaker on a fifty-fifty basis. The production facilities took a total of 115 thousand square metres, while office premises were located on 33 thousand square metres.

Recently, the Krasnodar Krai has been changing actively to become more investment attractive. It offers the other regions the example to follow, the Tatarstan President stated at the Kazan Kremlin after the meeting with Krasnodar Krai Governor Aleksandr Tkachev.

Leadership of Krasnodar region plans to use Tatarstan experience in implementation of IT technologies in state management. This was said today by the governor of Kuban Aleksandr Tkachev while visiting IT park in Kazan. Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Dr Mahathir bin Mohamad, the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, on June 29. The meeting was held at the Tatarstan House of Government. Greeting the guest, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked him for the visit and the attention to the 2nd International Islamic Business and Finance Summit the opening ceremony of which Mahathir Mohamad attended.

From June, 30 regime of emergency situation is established in Republic due to drought. An operational staff for assessing situation and damage caused to agricultural enterprises in connection with destruction of some part of harvest, development of measures on reducing consequences of drought on fields will be created in republic. This was announced today by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov at traveling seminar-meeting on issues of work of RT agro-industrial complex under particular conditions this year.

By the end of year it is planned to issue 5 000 utilization certificates within the limits of realizing the second stage of program on utilizing old cars in Tatarstan. It was said by RT Deputy Minister of industry and trade Gulnara Akhmadeeva. Results of the first stage of program on utilizing old cars were summarized today in RT Cabinet. Gulnara Akhmadeeva reminded that the program of exchanging an old car for getting a discount of 50 000 roubles when buying a new home-made car in Russia started on March, 8 and had to be finished on November,1. But by June, 20 Russian dealers handed 200 000 certificates on utilization to car owners.
