The delegation of the Republic of Tatarstan led by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived in Singapore on August 14 to take part in the opening of the First Youth Olympic Games. Tatarstan athletes participate in the Youth Olympic Games as part of Russia’s national team that includes about 100 athletes while the whole number of sportsmen involved in the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore is some 3,600 people.

On August, 13 RT President Rustam Minnikhanov held meeting with chairman of RF Central election commission Vladimir Churov. Course of preparation for holding municipal elections fixed for October, 10, 2010 have been discussed at the meeting.

Tatarstan expects to receive extra funds form the federal budget, to build flats for WWII veterans, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has today told a traditional video conference at the Cabinet of Ministers. “The Regional Development Ministry has dead certain pledged 4.3 billion before the end of August,” the president told the meeting. “But this money has to be fought for and disbursed, and only then we will be able to receive about one billion extra, if we succeed in providing residences to all the veterans.”

4,9 bln. roubles (77 % of funds) have been drawn in Tatarstan by program of major repairs of multi-apartment houses. Such data have been presented today at a meeting in RT Cabinet held by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. Head of Tatarstan paid attention to slowing down of rates of works.

At the meeting with Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Belarusian President Aleksander Lukashenko declared that Belarus is ready to provide more help to Russia fighting fires. “I would like to assure you personally and our friends in your republic that we will make everything to help in this difficult situation. We are ready to provide Russian regions with help we are capable of,” the head of Belarus said. The parties discussed further strengthening and broadening of the mutually beneficial cooperation.

Tatarstan expects that the commodity turnover with Belarus will go up. The issue was in the focus at the meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Belarus Prime Minister Sergei Sidorsky in Minsk on August 12. At the beginning of the meeting, Sergei Sidorsky expressed his condolences over deaths caused by fires in Russia.

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov has arrived in Belarus with working visit. He was met by First deputy minister for foreign affairs of Belarus Republic Igor Petrishenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russian Federation in Belarus Republic Aleksandr Surikov, Mayor of Minsk city Nikolai Ladutko and Chief of department for managing Russian regions under Ministry of interiors of Belarus Republic Stanislav Chepurnoi.

Extended session of Coordination Council on realizing Agreement on cooperation in the sphere of developing nanotechnologies and nanoindustry between State corporation “Russian corporation of nanotechnologies” and Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was held by RT Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov.

RT President Rustam Minnikhanov inspected a multi-apartment house in Derbyshki settlement. It was built by republican social mortgage program. Head of republic was accompanied by Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, CEO of State housing fund under RT President Talgat Abdullin, Aide to RT President on social issues Tatyana Larionova, Deputy minister of youth affairs, sport and tourism Andrey Kondratyev.

Chairman of RF government Vladimir Putin held meeting on issues of using GLONASS technologies for the benefit of social-economic development of regions in Ryazan oblast. RT prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the meeting. Vladimir Putin informed that today Russian government is developing a conception of new federal target program GLONASS meant for the period till 2020.
