On 4 January Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in unveiling the memorial plaque of the Hero of the Soviet Union Lieutenant General Gani Safiullin in Kazan.

The event coincided with the 80th anniversary of the crushing defeat of the German-Fascist troops in the Stalingrad battle and, speaking at the event, Tatarstan President said that the memorial plaque of the Hero of the Soviet Union Safiullin is paying homage to him. “His feats will be remembered forever,” he said.

On 4 February, speaking at a meeting in the Government house of the republic, Chairwoman of Tatarstan Public Chamber Zilya Valeeva reported about results of the competition for the best New-Year event and festive decorations held among municipalities, enterprises and organizations of the republic from 16 December 2022 to 15 January 2023.

On 4 February, speaking at a meeting in the Government house of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that one of the important tasks of the government was provision of public safety.  

On 4 February, speaking at a videoconference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with all municipalities of the republic and with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov informed that by the results of 2022 the republic allocated 2.8bn rubles for supporting small and private farms which was by 352m more than in 2021. He said that due to great support from the government of the republic, it ranks second in agricultural gross product in the country.

On February 3, in the Kazan Sports Palace «Sport Saray», Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, the President of the Continental Hockey League Alexey Morozov and representatives of the clergy took part in the opening ceremony of the 3rd All-Russian Ice Hockey Tournament «The Cup of Friendship – Duslyk».

On February 3, at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, during a summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Roads on the results of the work of the road industry in 2022, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of Gorky Railway, the branch of Russian Railways Sergey Dorofeevsky signed an agreement between the Republic of Tatarstan and Russian Railways on interaction and cooperation in rail transport for 2023 – 2025 in such areas as passenger and freight transport, infrastructure development, ensuring road safety and infrastructure facilities, promotion and popularization of tourism in Tatarstan and others.

On February 3, at a summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Roads held at the Kazan EXPO Exhibition Centre, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and representatives of federal structures discussed the issue of modernization of road and transport infrastructure, which is one of the factors of dynamic development of Tatarstan and said that the quality of roads affects the safe and comfortable movement of residents and guests of the republic, as well as the reliability and timeliness of cargo delivery.

On February 3, at the Kazan EXPO International Exhibition Centre, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin and Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part at an extended summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Transport and Roads on the results of its work in 2022 and the task for 2023.

On 2 February Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the first meeting of the organizing committee of the International Economic Forum “Russia-Islamic World: KazanForum” held by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin on Moscow.

On 31 January at their meeting in the Government house of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and RF Presidential Commissioner for the Rights of Children Maria Lvova- Belova, who came on a working trip to Kazan to take part in an inter-departmental meeting on protection of rights and legal interests of children and visit a number of social institutions, discussed issues of protection of parentless children, children and families in hardships, prevention of social orphanhood and other topics, including projects of rehabilitation of children with disabilities being implemented in Tatarstan.
