On May 9, at the Arsk cemetery in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin laid flowers at war graves and obelisk in memory of those, who fell in the World War II of 1941 – 1945.

On May 8, veterans of the World War II and homefront workers, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Gorky railway Anatoly Lesun, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and other officials took part in an opening ceremony of the renovated Alley of Glory in Yudino settlement in Kazan, dedicated to the 9th of May – the Victory Day of the World War II.
On May 7, in the afternoon, during his working visit to Laishevo municipal region of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Miinikhanov inspected the progress of sowing campaign there.
On May 7, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Sverdlovsk region to take part in a meeting held by Russian Prosecutor General Yuri Chaika on legality and practice of public prosecutor’s supervision in the sphere of solid municipal waste handling in the Far Eastern, Volga, Siberian and Ural Federal Districts.
On May 7, in Kazan, Deputy Prime Minister of the republic – Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaykhutdinov and Chairman of the Board of Tattelecom Telecommunication Company, Director General of Svyazinvestneftekhim Valery Sorokin took part in the event, where a new head of the Tattelecom, former Aide to Tatarstan President, Airat Nurutdinov was introduced to its staff.
On May 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin on results of the activity and prospects for development of regional multi-purpose centres.
On May 6, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Finnish-Russian actor and producer Ville Juhana Haapasalo discussed issues of cooperation in the promotion of the tourist potential of Tatarstan.
On May 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his condolences in connection with the tragedy at Sheremetyevo Airport. Yesterday, on the 5th of May, the Aeroflot plane, flying from Moscow to Murmansk, caught fire during an emergency landing at the Moscow’s airport. According to preliminary data, 41 people were killed, 26 of them were residents of Murmansk region.
On May 6, at the Jalil Tatar Opera and Ballet Theatre, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a solemn event dedicated to the 74th anniversary of Victory in the World War II.
