On August 31, during his working visit to Almetyevsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov together with Head of the Executive Committee of the Almetyevsk region Timur Nagumanov and Director General of TATNEFT Oil Company Nail Maganov visited Kvantorium children’s technopark, where the 7th All-Russian contest AgroNTI-2019 took place.
The competition held among students of 5-10 grades is aimed at involving students of educational institutions in work on the technological priorities of the National Technological Initiative (NTI), introducing them the high-tech projects in agriculture.
Students from Kazan, Volgograd, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk and Saratov arrived in Almetyevsk to take part in the event. Minnikhanov looked around the competition venues of the contest, which took place in 4 directions: AgroRobots (automated control systems for agricultural machinery), AgroKosmos (using satellite imagery and web GIS technologies in the agricultural sector), AgroMeteo (weather forecasting, creating a weather archive, analytics) and AgroCopters (using unmanned aircraft to meet the tasks in agriculture).
Tatarstan President noted that such contests involve schoolchildren in the development process of agriculture and help to gain useful skills in working with high-tech equipment.
