RT Prime Minister announced at the meeting of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Committee that small and medium business is a favorable sphere for those who have become unclaimed as the result of world finance crisis. Videoconference meeting was held with participation of all municipal districts. It was devoted to working results of the Committee.

Rustam Minnikhanov observed the development of technopolis “INVENT” which is situated in Stolbishi settlement, Laishevsky district. Head of RT Government was accompanied by Ilshat Fardiev, General Director of JSC “Tatenergo” and Aleksandr Timofeev, Head of Laishevsky district.

Rustam Minnikhanov took part in final meeting of republic staff concerning the construction of Oil-refining and petrochemical Complex in Nizhnekamsk (the project of JSC “TANEKO”). The main theme for discussion was summing-up of results regarding Complex construction.

Shamil Gafarov, Head of RT Cabinet Office held videoconference meeting of Tatarstan Road Safety Commission. All municipal districts took part in the meeting.
Rifkat Minnikhanov, Head of State Road Safety Inspection Administration under RT Ministry of Interior reported on realization of federal target program “Improvement of road safety in 2006-2012” in Tatarstan. This program was approved on February, 6, 2006 (Decree of the Russian Government).

Rustam Minnikhanov and Vyacheslav Bezborodov discussed the possibilities of space activity results usage for Tatarstan social and economic development.
Shamil Gafarov, Head of RT Cabinet Office, Farid Shagidullin, Aide to Prime Minister on geological issue and consuming of entrails, Nikolay Nikiforov, General Director of Information Technologies Centre also presented at the meeting.

The Directors Council of “Tatneftehiminvest-holding” chaired by Rustam Minnikhanov discussed the projects in oil-gas-chemical sphere. The main one is the construction of ethylene-producing plant in JSC “Nizhnekamskneftehim” with capacity of 1 million tones. The construction is to be started in the second half of 2009. 84 billion RUR are planned to be spent for the project. Rustam Minnikhanov considers that realization of the project will increase petrochemical production in Tatarstan.

RT Prime Minister announced that the project of JSC “Ammonia” (Mendeleevsk) – construction of the plant for production of ammonia, methanol, granulated carbamide and ammonia nitrate will be realized in accordance with prior agreement. During the visit to Japan together with Anatoliy Ballo, Deputy Chairman of JSC “Vnesheconombank” the negotiations were held with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) concerning the credit for project realization. The contract should be signed in March, 2009.

Marat Safiullin, RT Minister of Economy and Vies Hermann, General Director of “Bosch” Company signed the Agreement of Intent. It stipulates further partnership and cooperation of German Concern “Bosch” with Tatarstan enterprises and organizations. Vies Hermann announced that it will improve the relations of the Company with Russia and its regions, Tatarstan, in particular. The main object of “Bosch” Company is to intensify its presence in security systems market.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Russian delegation are in business trip in Oran (Algeria) to participate in OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) emergency session. The event is devoted to stabilization of oil prices under world economic crisis conditions. Russia, Omen, Azerbaijan, Syria take part in the session except for 13 OPEC countries.

The members of commission discussed the candidates for various nominations. The contest has been held in Kazan since 2002. It was established by RT Association of Industrial Enterprises (since 2005 – RT Association of Enterprises and businessmen).
