On 22 February, speaking at a regular meeting held with participation of the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and the Chairman of the State Council of the republic Farid Mukhametshin  in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said: ”Tomorrow our country is celebrating the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland – the holiday which has become a symbol of courage, resilience and patriotism uniting everyone who is ready to defend Motherland. This day we express deep gratitude to all those who served and are serving in the Armed Forces and fighting at the special military operation (SMO) defending peace and quietness of our country. Their professionalism, devotion to duty and love for Fatherland are an example for all of us.”

On 21 February, speaking at his meeting with the Akim of Atyrau region of Kazakhstan Serik Shapkenov in the Kazan Kremlin, the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the republic highly appreciates an opportunity of expanding bonds with Kazakhstan within the framework of friendly Russia-Kazakhstan relations. He said that leaders of the countries Vladimir Putin and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev actively support interaction at the level of regions.

On 21 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhaniov and the Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Maksim Topilin took part in a joint meeting of the Operational Headquarters for ensuring social and economic stability in the republic and the collegium of the regional Ministry of Economics held at the Volga State University of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism in Kazan.

On 20 February, speaking at his meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Somali to Russia Mohamed Abukar Subair in the Government House of the republic, the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed his guests and thanked the Ambassador and his Counselors for the interest shown in Tatarstan.

He said that in the current year it will be 65 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Somali.

On 20 February the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov, the Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, members of the regional Government and other officials took part in the VII session of Tatarstan State Council held by the Chairman of the Council Farid Mukhametshin.

On 20 February the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Asgat Safarov, the Mufti of the republic Kamil Samigullin, the Head of the Council of Islamic Education of Russia, the Rector of the Russian Islamic University Rafik Mukhametshin and other officials took part in an expanded meeting of the Council of Islamic Education of Russia held at the Russian Islamic Institute in Kazan. 

On 19 February upon his arrival to the Kazan International Airport, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of Russia Dmitriy Medevedev , who came to Tatarstan on a working trip  was welcomed by the Rais (Head) of the republic Rustam Minnikhanov and the Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga Federal District Igor Komarov.

On 19 February during his working trip to Turkmenistan,  the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow , where he thanked him for wholehearted welcome and an opportunity to discuss important issues of cooperation. He also passed words of greeting from Russian President Vladimir Putin and in his turn Serdar Berdimuhamedow passed the best regards to the Russian President and brotherly people of the friendly country.

On 19 February the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of judges of the republic dedicated to results of their work in 2024 held at the Soviet District Court of Kazan.

After the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the republic Azat Gilmutdinov, the Head of the Directorate of Judicial department for Tatarstan Zyavdat Salikhov and the Deputy Chairman of the Sixth General Court of Cassation, the Chairman of the Judicial Chamber on Administrative Cases Radik Gabdullin reported about the number of cases considered by general jurisdiction courts of the republic in 2024, Rustam Minnikhanov stated that today’s results testify to the high importance and relevance of the judicial system as an important tool of protection citizen’s rights and interests.
