On January 11, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a one-day working visit in Turkey to get acquainted with the energy facilities and to visit Yatağan Power Station.

On January 10, at Kazan diocesan administration, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a meeting with bishops of Tatarstan Metropolia of the Russian Orthodox Church. 

On January 9, speaking at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, Head of the Culture Department of Kazan Azat Abzalov reported that more than 550 entertainment activities were held in 55 New Year sites during New Year holiday period. Thus, on average, at least 10 events were held at every New Year site.

On January 9, speaking at the Government House of the republic at the regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov reported that according to the results of 2017, the gross agricultural product of the region amounts to 260 billion roubles, which increased by 5.1 per cent, and Tatarstan ranks third among Russian regions.

On January 9, speaking at the first in the current year regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin, Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities of the republic Irek Faizullin reported that as many as 2,403,000 square meters of housing will be commissioned in Tatarstan in 2018.

On January 6, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov congratulated Tatarstan citizens on Christmas.

On December 30, speaking at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov reported that Tatarstan is in the top three regions in the production of agricultural products.

On December 29, during his working trip to the UAE, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the Sustainable City in Dubai.
