The Stadler Company is interested in localization of its production facility in Tatarstan

On March 23, during the meeting of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with Chairman of the Board, owner of the Stadler Company Peter Spuhler, it became known that one of the world’s leading manufacturer in the railway passenger transport, the Swiss concern Stadler is considering the possibility to localize its production line in Tatarstan.

The Stadler Company produces a wide range of passenger railway transport: high-speed, regional and local trains, sleeping coaches, trams and metro coaches. The company's plants are located in Switzerland, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, the Netherlands, Spain, Algeria, the USA and the Republic of Belarus.

To date, the Stadler plans to localize its production facility in Russia. Tatarstan is considered as a potential area.

Minnikhanov noted that the engineering industry is widely developed in Tatarstan. “We have plants with the production lines of aircraft, helicopters, cars and trucks. There is a plant for the production of military and civilian ships” he said.

Minnikhanov said that a systematic work with investors is organized in the republic. A number of production facilities such as technoparks, special economic zones, various production areas are operating. There is a preferential tax treatment for investors. "Many of the world’s companies have already chosen Tatarstan as the area of localization of their production lines. We are also ready to provide the necessary support to you,” Tatarstan President emphasized.

Minnikhanov invited Stadler representatives to visit Tatarstan and get acquainted personally with the infrastructure and conditions for the development of rail transport production.
