Rustam Minnikhanov meets senior officials of Swiss Sika Company

On March 23, during his working visit to Geneva, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Director General of Sika Russia Sergey Zyuzya.

Sika is an international concern engaged in the production of materials and technology for construction chemicals. The company includes manufacturing companies, research laboratories, technical support centres and sales offices in almost 100 countries around the world.

In Russia, Sika has been working since 2003 with production lines located in Lobnya, Rzhev, St. Petersburg, Volgograd and Vladivostok. Zyuzya noted that Sika regards Russia as one of the most important markets, constantly investing in the construction of new production facilities, the localization of the raw materials base, and the development of the research and development centre. Since 2007, more than 1.7 billion roubles have been invested in the Russian business.

Sika is also represented in Tatarstan. There is a sales and technical representation office of the Swiss company in Kazan.

At the meeting with representatives of Sika issues of further development of cooperation were discussed.

Later on the same day, Minnikhanov met senior managers of Helling Company, which specializes in the development and manufacture of products for non-destructive testing and is one of the main suppliers of high technology in 40 countries. Minnikhanov stressed that Tatarstan is interested in cooperation with Helling.
