On January 29, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Board Chairman of the Global Company Abdul-Hadi Al-Hajjeri discussed potential cooperation and touched upon pressing issues of the world economy.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin is on a regular leave from the 27th of January to the 5th of February, 2018.

During vacation period Tatarstan Prime Minister’s duties will be performed by First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Nigmatullin.

On January 27, speaking at a summing-up meeting of the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the republic in Naberezhnye Chelny, with participation of Russian Minister of Transport Maksim Sokolov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov highly appraised the activity of the agency during the preceding year,  pointed out the importance of this area for the republic.

On January 26, speaking at a meeting of the Ministry of Health of the republic on the results of the work in 2017 and tasks for the current year, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan gives priority to the health sector, which ranks second in terms of the level of expenditures from the regional budget.

On January 26, at the Government House of the republic, speaking at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of First regional Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin and all regions of the republic,  Tatarstan Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin reported that 43 municipal regions of the republic are taking part in the capital repair programme, that is 995 multi-apartment houses with the total area of 5.3 million square metres, to improve living conditions of over 200,000 citizens.

Faizullin said that the amount of financing allocated to the capital repair programme is 6,076,348,000 roubles in 2018.

On January 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the renovated policlinics of the Central City Clinical Hospital No.18 and G building of the Interregional Clinical Diagnostic Centre.

On January 26, in the Government House of the republic, at a meeting on results of activity of small oil companies of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Russian oil producers fulfilled the task of suppressing of oil production under the agreements of OPEC+. According to Russian Ministry of Energy, oil production amounted to 546.7 million tonnes or 99.9 per cent to the level of 2016 in Russia last year. 

On January 26, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the opening of a new swimming pool in Derbyshki settlement in Kazan.

The Raketa swimming pool was built under the federal programme for the development of physical culture and sport for the period 2016 – 2020 in Derbyshki in 2017.

On January 26, at their meeting at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and FINA's President Julio Maglione discussed the development of water sports and outlined steps for further cooperation.
