On May 11, at their meeting in the Government House of the republic,  Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Volga Interregional Environmental Prosecutor Veniamin Selifanov discussed a number of issues related to ensuring a favorable environmental situation in the republic, in particular, control over the placement and utilization of waste, suppression of illegal mining, compliance with the requirements for safe operation of hydraulic structures, and other topical issues.

On May 10, speaking at a briefing at the regional Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of the republic Vladimir Leonov said that most tickets have been sold for the Confederations Cup match between the national teams of Russia and Mexico, which will be held in Kazan.

On May 10, accompanied by Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov paid a working visit to Atninsky and Arsky municipal regions of the republic to get acquainted with the progress of spring field works.

On May 10, during his working visit to Kukmor region of the republic to get acquainted with the progress of sowing campaign, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov was accompanied by Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Akhmetov and Head of Kukmor region Sergey Dmitriev.

On May 10, at his meeting with Chinese Consul General to Kazan Wu Yingqin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan appreciates the high level of relations with China. The republic is actively cooperating with Chinese partners, close ties have been established with a number of Chinese provinces, companies and universities, he said.

On May 9, together with 120,000 people, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the republic Alexey Pesoshin, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin and other officials took part in the campaign “Immortal regiment” in Kazan.

On May 9, on Millennium Square in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin, and veterans of the Great Patriotic War took part in a celebratory parade dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On May 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Alexey Pesoshin, and Chairman of the State Council Farid Mukhametshin laid flowers to the Eternal Flame and honoured the memory of the fallen with a minute’s silence in the Victory Park in Kazan.

On May 9, at the Arsk cemetery in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin laid flowers at war graves and obelisk in memory of those, who fell in the Great Patriotic War. 

On May 8, at the M. Jalil Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev and Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a solemn event to mark the 72nd anniversary of Victory in World War II.
