On June 8, during his working trip to Nizhnekamsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited production facilities of TAIF-NK oil refining complex, where he took part in the start-up of the reconstructed workshop for local treatment of industrial wastewater.
The workshop for the local treatment of industrial wastewater is designed for purifying production and storm sewage from all the TAIF-NK's facilities, including those that will come from the heavy residues deep conversion complex, which is under construction now. The capacity of the new treatment facilities will make 500 cubic meters per hour. To achieve this level, General Electric was selected as the main supplier of the biological treatment unit.
This large-scale investment project was planned as part of the federal programme for the modernization of oil refineries. In 2014, TAIF-NK company began to implement the project, which cost about four billion roubles.
