On March 1, delivering his annual Address to the Federal Assembly at the Manezh Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin stated that Kazan together with Samara, Tomsk, Novosibirsk and some other cities are the country’s powerful scientific centre.

On February 28, speaking in the 24th summary session of Kazan City Duma of the third convocation with participation of Deputy Chairman of the regional State Council Yuri Kamaltynov, First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Nigmatullin, Chairman of the Council of Municipalities of the republic Ekzam Gubaidullin, members of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, people’s deputies of the State Council of the republic, senior officials of ministries and agencies of the republic and other officials, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin reported that 5.5 billion roubles are planned to be allocated for road repair including 4,65 billion roubles for the streets and one billion roubles for the yards.

Minnikhanov used his smartphone to broadcast the trip online through instagram.

Saiful Hoque, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said: “We attach great importance to the development of cooperation with the Republic of Bangladesh as part of relations between Russia and Bangladesh.”
