On January 15, on the sidelines of the 11th Gaidar Forum in Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov chaired the annual general meeting of the members of the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR).

On January 14, at Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism, speaking at a summing up meeting of Tatarstan Ministry of Sport on the results of its work in 2019 and tasks for 2020 with participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister of Sport Pavel Kolobkov said that Tatarstan is an example of interaction between Russian and Tatarstan Ministries of Sport.

On January 14, at the Kazan International Airport, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin met Russian Minister of Sports Pavel Kolobkov, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in an extended summing-up meeting of the Ministry of Sports of the republic on the results of work of the local Ministry in 2019 and tasks for 2020.

On January 14, at their meeting in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia – Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Sergei Anoprienko discussed the development of forestry, minimization of risks of fires, as well as joint work on forest restoration.

On January 13, during his visit to the Kazan Virgin Monastery, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in the medal “100th anniversary of the foundation of the Tatar ASSR" to Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Feofan for his significant contribution to strengthening interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony, preservation of spiritual heritage.

On January 13, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and State Counsellor of the republic Mintimer Shaimiev got acquainted with the progress of reconstruction of the Cathedral of the Kazan icon of the Mother of God. 

On January 11, at the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met the head coach of Rubin football club Leonid Slutsky, who has a 5-year contract with the club.
