Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visits Polymatiz plant and discusses with its senior managers the issue of manufacturing material for medical masks

On March 25, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the production facilities of Polymatiz plant, located at the Alabuga special economic zone (SEZ) (Yelabuga municipal region of Tatarstan).

On April 2007, the Polymatiz was registered as a resident of the Alabuga SEZ for the implementation of an investment project for the production of modern nonwoven materials of the "spanbond" type.

The company is a subsidiary of the Nizhnekamskneftekhim Petrochemical Company and is part of the TAIF group of companies.

The Polymatiz is a full-cycle enterprise, manufacturing polypropylene non-woven material, which is used in many industries, including for the production of medical masks.

Minnikhanov discussed with the senior managers of the Polymatiz the issue of manufacturing material for medical masks.

At the meeting, senior managers of the plant said that they are ready to increase production by 10 times. Since the beginning of March to date, the plant has produced 67.4 tonnes of material and ready to increase the production to 600 tonnes per month.
