Rustam Minnikhanov: Measures to support business will be taken in Tatarstan

29.03.2020

On March 29, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Kystyby fast-food restaurant in Kazan, which has completely turned to the take-away mode.

Representatives of the restaurant said that they managed to arrange a delivery system within 3-4 days. For the convenience of customers, they launched a special application to order both ready-made food and semi-finished products. Minnikhanov noted the high level of organization of work, and also offered to share experience with other catering facilities.

Also, Tatarstan President was told about holding an online training seminar for entrepreneurs. At the seminar, business representatives discuss how to arrange online delivery of goods and food products. Experts talk about the mechanisms of an effective courier network and the principles of its promotion. Over a thousand people joined the event.

Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the seminar and told them about a number of measures to support business. “In the current situation, we should quickly change the line of business. The situation forces us to minimize contacts, so the catering facilities will be able to deliver food. However, many people do not know how to arrange it. It is important for us to talk about best practices, provide tools for organizing delivery. This is a very important task. The Ministry of Economics will deal with this issue. Within three weeks, we will take many different measures related to business support. Perhaps the state will bear part of the delivery costs. We hope that together we will win in these difficult times,” Tatarstan President said.

Earlier, Minnikhanov gave an errand to the Ministry of Economy of the republic and Tatarstan Investment Development Agency to organize seminars for business. Entrepreneurs will be taught how to work in take-away mode, which will be useful during the upcoming non-working week for most businessmen. Moreover, cafes and restaurants will be able to continue their activities and jobs will be saved, he added.

“First of all, it is important to create all conditions so that people do not feel restrictions in terms of buying food and can order food at home. To do this, we should train entrepreneurs, show them how the courier delivery works. Secondly, this temporary transition to this format of work should help small and medium-sized businesses not to stop their activities,” Minnikhanov emphasized.

Tatarstan President was also proposed to create a special Internet portal to unite all regional catering facilities and to provide tools for organizing food delivery. Minnikhanov supported this initiative.

Later on the same day, Tatarstan President got acquainted with the work of McDonald's. Representatives of the restaurant told him about measures taken to ensure the safety of employees and customers, as well as the organization of contactless customer service.
