On May 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Ildar Mingaleev, administrator of the representative office of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia Rustem Amirkhanov and Deputy Director of the Department for external relations of Tatarstan President Marat Gatin arrived on working visit in Sochi to take part in ASEAN – Russia Business Forum on May 19.

On May 18, at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers Prime Minister of the republic Ildar Khalikov held a meeting on cooperation with Aeroflot.

Mass media agencies informed before that Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov addressed Aeroflot management with request to open direct flights from Kazan to one of Europe’s biggest airports in Frankfurt. For a short time the company has made a decision and launches direct flights on June 17.

On May 18, at the 7th annual meeting of the Association of builders of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Association needs to pay attention to the observance of safety instructions and labour protection at construction sites, professional development of the personnel, as well as the increase of the quality of construction.

On May 18, speaking at a launching ceremony of a unique experimental high-voltage station Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Tatarstan is the only Russian region capable of manufacturing high-voltage cable with a capacity of up to 500 kW and carrying out its trials.

On May 17, during his working trip to Moscow, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting of the Russian State Council chaired by Russian President Vladimir Putin in the Kremlin on developing construction sector and improving urban planning.

On May 17, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov has become a member of the working group of the Presidential Economic Council with the focus area "Priorities of structural reforms and sustained economic growth."

On May 17, reporting at a briefing at Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers about results of the working visit of Tatarstan delegation led by Tatarstan President to Austria on May 12-13 Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade of the republic Albert Karimov said that in 2015 the trade turnover between Tatarstan and Austria amounted to 56 million US dollars, nine million US dollars of which account for export sales.
