On 30 August in the Millennium Park in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister of Construction Irek Fayzullin, regional Communications Minister Ayrat Khayrullin and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in an opening of a family festival of digital technologies “TatFuture”. 

On 30 August Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Minister of Construction Irek Fayzullin, Deputy Governor of Nizhniy Novgorod region Oleg Berkovich, Director of the Tatarstan public fund of Tatar culture after Rashit Vagapov Rifat Fattakhov, Honorary Architect of Russian Federation German Bakulin and others took part in a ceremony of unveiling a monument to a Tatar signer and a founder of the professional Tatar pop-art Rashid Vagapov erected in the garden of  the Tatar Philharmonic Society in Kazan.

In his address to Tatarstan residents on the occasion of the Day of the Republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov has written:

“Dear Tatarstan residents! From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you with the main state holiday – the Day of the Republic. Tatarstan is a big family with representatives of various ethnicities and religions living in peace and concord.

On August 29, at the site of the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre, at the ceremony timed to the Day of the Republic of Tatarstan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in keys to the new cars to the winners of the regional review competition among municipalities.

On 29 August at an official ceremony held in the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov handed in state awards of Russian and Tatarstan to 50 residents of the republic, including representatives of industrial enterprises and organizations, medical workers, philanthropists and defenders of the Fatherland. 

On 29 August speaking at a plenary session of the Kazan Global Youth Summit “Youth in the Global Agenda” held at the Kazan City Hall and which gathered 300 participants from 67 countries, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that in the current year Kazan has been chosen the OIC Youth Capital.

On 29 August at their meeting in the Government house of the republic in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and the Head of the Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia (Moldova) Irina Vlah discussed strengthening cooperation between their republics including development  trade and economic ties, interaction in agriculture, medicine, IT, further exchange of delegations and implementation of joint cultural projects.

On August 28, in Sviyazhsk, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, Metropolitan of Kazan and Tatarstan Kirill, Head of Zelenodolsk region of the republic Mikhail Afanasiev Archpastors, priests and laity of Tatarstan Metropolis took part in the celebrations on the 25th anniversary of the revival of the Virgin Assumption Monastery.
