On February 25, speaking at the 30th meeting of the city Council of Naberezhnye Chelny on results of the socio-economic development in 2018 and tasks for 2019, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that in terms of socio-economic indicators and the quality of life Naberezhnye Chelny should look up to cities of national importance.

On February 23, speaking at the Government House of the republic at a regional video-conference held by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov with participation of Acting Prime Minister of the republic Rustam Nigmatullin, Regional Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Utilities Irek Faizullin reported that as of February 22, 2019, as many as 355,900 square meters of housing, which makes 13.3 per cent of the plan for the current year, have been commissioned in Tatarstan.
