“Tatarstan has great economic potential but is little-known in the world”, - President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) while answering the questions of mass media after the ceremony of opening investment forum Annual Investment Meeting 2011 (AIM-2011). By his words, to make the region well-known it is important to use all opportunities, establish direct contacts, and communicate. Participation of Tatarstan in AIM presents good opportunity to tell about the region, and use all offered variants for in order to attract potential investors and foreign investments.

May 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov honored the memory of soldiers who fell in the great Patriotic War. The head of the republic laid flowers to the Eternal Flame at the Colonnade in the Glory Memorial at the Park of Victory and the Monument to mothers and widows of the fallen soldiers. Tatarstan State Counsellor Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov and State Council Chairman Farid Mukhamershin also took part in the wreath-laying ceremony.

Family farms considered one of the perspective points of growth agriculture of Tetush and Kamsko-Ustinsky municipal regions of Tatarstan and regional administrations should strengthen their work in this direction. Works on modernization of railway line from Kazan railway station to international airport “Kazan” will start on May, 15. Such information was announced today at a working meeting on issue of organizing intermodal transportation held by RT President Rustam Minnikhanov. Head of Gorky railways Anatoli Lesun, RT Premier Ildar Khalikov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin also took part in the event.
