On September 23, at a session of Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers chaired by Acting Prime Minister of the republic Aleksei Pesoshin, Deputy Minister of economy of the republic Oleg Pelevin informed that the forecasted volume of Gross Regional Product is 1 trillion and 929 bln roubles. The growth of 103.1-104.2 per cent is expected in 2017-2019.

On September 23, at a traditional meeting at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov commented on the results of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation held on September 18.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov is on annual vacation from September 23 till October 7, 2016. First Deputy Prime Minister of the republic Aleksei Pesoshin will fulfill his duties during this period.
