World championship in aquatics - 2015 will be held in Kazan (Russia). The decision was made on July 15 2011 at 13:00 pm by local time in Shanghai (China) by members of FINA Bureau (International swimming federation).

Russian delegation presented the bid for the right to host World championship in aquatics in 2015/17 to members of FINA Bureau (International swimming federation). Presentation took place in Shanghai (China) within the limits of 14th world championship in aquatics. Mexico (Guadalajara) and China (Hong Kong) also introduced their bids.

The meeting took place at the Kazan Kremlin following a meeting of the government commission on helping the families of those killed and injured in the Bulgaria boat accident.Tatarstan Muslim Religious Board Chairman Ildus hazrat Faizov and Superior of the Kazan Mother of God Monastery Pitirim talked to the head of the government.

The tragedy with the Bulgaria river boat, which happened in Tatarstan, has been a shock for entire Russia, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the governmental commission to help the families of the victims of the Bulgaria river boat. The meeting was held at the Kazan Kremlin. 195 divers who have already made almost 500 dives are involved in search operations, in which altogether there are 1254 people working supported by 188 pieces of equipment. The search zone covers about 190 km.

Tatarstan officials who arrived in People’s Republic of China with Russian bidding committee for the right to host World championship in water sports in 2015/2017 visited Shanghai exhibition sports centre.

Divers operating at the place of “Bulgaria” shipwreck found bodies of 6 people. Thus, by 14:00 p.m on July 14 the number of victims is 112. Search operations are being accomplished in water basin of Volga River, on the bank and islands. The searching area makes 190 km downstream. Forces and means involve 1144 people, 188 units of equipment including 12 aircrafts, 11 river boats and 24 motorboats.

Tatarstan officials on the delegation of Russian bidding committee for the right to host World championship in water sports in 2015/2017 arrived in Shanghai (China). The visit is mainly aimed at participation in final presentation of candidate cities bids at a regular session of FINA bureau (International swimming federation) on July 15.

Operations on investigating the motor-boat and preparation for its uplifting continue at the place of “Bulgaria” shipwreck. Such information was given at a session of Government commission for investigating causes and circumstances of the tragedy. RT Premier Ildar Khalikov took part in the event held at House of RT Government.

Bodies of 101 people perished in “Bulgaria” shipwreck have been retrieved, Ministry of emergency situations informs on July,13 16:00 pm (63 women, 21 children, 17 men). Bodies of 91 people were identified. 67 bodies were given to relatives for burial.
