On July 14 Chief of Staff of Russian Presidential Administration Sergey Ivanov arrived in Kazan. He was met by Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and other officials at the international airport “Kazan”.

“We want student sport to take its place in the world. Today we underestimate the role and importance of student sport. Young people have different interests, but sport unites them. I am sure that student sport will always be on a high level in Russia and Tatarstan,” Rustam Minnikhanov said at the opening of FISU scientific conference “University and Olympic sport-two models, one goal?” (July 14-17).

On July 12 Tatarstan State Counsellor, Chairman of the Board of guardians of the Regional Fund “Revival” Mintimer Shaimiev and Adviser to Russian President Igor Levitin took part in the opening ceremony of a new monument, exact copy of Paul I boat, in island-town Sviyazhsk.

He was met by First Deputy Chairman of Russian Government Igor Shuvalov, Plenipotentiary of Russian President in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Russian Minister of Sport Vitaly Mutko, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov at the international airport “Kazan”.

On July 12 Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met with Executive Vice President and President, Regions of Ecolab Inc. Christophe Beck, Vice President and Director General in Russia and CIS Vaclav Harant in Kazan.

On July 12 at their meeting in Kazan Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and ITAR-TASS First Deputy Director General Mikhail Gusman signed a Cooperation Agreement between Tatarstan Republic and ITAR-TASS news agency.
